Day 147 Paul In Athens

Day 147

Daily Bible Reading Schedule

2nd Samuel 21-22
Acts 17

Acts 17:16
Paul was in Athens  and was upset to see the city full of idols.

Acts 17:20-30
For thou bringest certain strange things to our ears:  we would know therefore what these things mean.
(For all Athenians and strangers which were there spent time in nothing else, but either to tell or hear some new thing)
I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.
I found an altar with this unknown scripture
TO THE UNKNOWN GOD
Whom  therefore ye ignorantly worship.  Him I declare unto you
God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands
Neither is worshipped  with men's hands as though he needed anything, seeing he giveth to all life and breath and all things.
And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before the appointed and bounds of their habitation.
That they should seed the Lord if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from everyone of us
And the times of this ignorance God winked and commanded all men everywhere to repent.

Paul went to Athens and preached the Gospel among the people who, that is all they did, hang out around idols and gossiped and waited to hear the newest trend.

Are you hanging around any idols??????

Who Or What are you worshiping?

God Winked and commanded everyone to Repent
