Day 146
Daily Bible Reading Schedule
2nd Samuel 18-20
Acts 16
Paul and Silas was preaching and was arrested. The were beaten and flogged and thrown in prison, and their hands and feet were in stocks.
Paul and Silas were singing and praising God. They were not moaning, crying or feeling sorry for themselves.
There was a great earthquake and they were set free. They didn't run or try to escape. They stayed and told them their testimony that God did this.
So think about this. They were arrested, beaten flogged and their hands and feet were in stocks. They had to be in pain, thirsty, hungry, not to mention having to use the bathroom. But the sing and praise the Lord.
They looked up and knew that God would set them free. They had faith in God.
This story always amazes me. I have no idea what I would do if that happened to me, but we are living in the last days and it could happen here, in America today. Business Owners are getting arrested for opening a business. Neighbors are spying on neighbors.
What will you do if you get arrested for believing in Jesus????
We need to Follow Paul's example, because it is already happening to people around the world and is starting to happen in America.
Pastors are being arrested for holding church service.
Praise the Lord no matter what is going on in your life.
