Day 134 Are You Willing To Stand Up For Jesus?
Day 134
Daily Bible Reading Schedule
1st Samuel 22
Acts 7
In Acts 7
Stephen replies to the charges that are brought against him. You should read Acts 7, the entire chapter.
Acts 7:51-60
Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before the coming of the Just one, of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers.
Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.
When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart and they gnashed on with him with their teeth.
But Stephen, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God.
and he said, behold I see the heavens opened and the Son of man on the right hand of God.
Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears and ran upon them with one accord.
And cast him out of the city, and stoned him
While Stephen was being stoned, he cried out to God, saying, Lord Jesus receive my spirit. He kneeled down and cried with a loud voice, "Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. and when he had said this, he fell asleep
Stephen was stoned to death because he was preaching the Gospel. While he was being stoned, he looked up to Heaven and saw Jesus and God. He then asked God to forgive the people who were stoneing him and then he died.
What would you do if you were being persecuted for believing in God? Would you say ok and go home and hide in your house, or would you stand up for Jesus even if it meant death.
These are the last days, before the Rapture. What are you going to do? Hide in your house or stand up for Jesus and be persecuted?
