Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye
Upon the first day of the week, let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him
That there be no gatherings  when I come
 And when I come,, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your  liberality unto Jerusalem  King James Version

Now about the collection for God's people
Do what I told the Galatian churches.  On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.  Then when I arrive, I will give letters of introduction  to the men you approved  and send them with your gift to Jerusalem.

People tithed in the Old Testament.  Abraham tithed.  Here in the New Testament,Paul is telling the church to put aside money for missionaries in other cities.  We are suppose to support the church.

When you tithe, you are giving it to God.  So if you give to your church, don't think that you are giving it to the preacher, so he can pay himself or give in anger because your giving must come from the heart.  You are giving your money to God, to God's kingdom.  It is between you and God.

Your life will never change if you do not give with a loving willing heart.
