Nehemiah 4-6

As Christians, we need to separate ourselves for the rest of the world.  For whatever reason, we do not do that.

That is why we get sucked into sin and why we turn our backs on God.

I don't know much about the Amish people, but I do admire them.  They have separated themselves from the rest of the world, and are probably better off than most Christians.

God tells us That we live in this world, but are not from this world.

So why do we want to conform to this world?

In the Book of Nehemiah, The Jewish people come back to Israel after 50 years of being exile. The first thing they do is to rebuild the wall to keep other society's out.

They are confronted with opposition. 

Nehemiah 4:6
They plotted together to come and fight against Jerusalem and stir up trouble against it. 

Why would they care what the Jewish people were doing?  They were afraid of their God.  They wanted taxes from the,  It is all about power.

Nehemiah 6:9
They were trying to frighten us, thinking our hands are to weak for the work and it will not be complete

I prayed "Now strength my hands.

The wall was completed in 52 days
when our enemies heard about this they became afraid because they realized that this work was done with the help of God.

Why are not Believers separating themselves from the Pagans of this world.  Why do we let them get in our face, judge us and persecute us?  Why are we not creating our own communitites  of Believers and stop living as the Pagan do?

Israel is not conforming to blend in with the Pagans of this world.  God is on their side as long as they obey God and do not turn their back on God.

America has turned their back on God.  The Believers are doing nothing about it.  Believers are blending in with the Pagans.  Believers have stopped going to church.
There are too many different churches in America that claim to believe in the same thing, but are not one body of Christ.

Someone gets mad at what is going on in a church, they leave that church and start another church.
That makes no sense.

There is only one Bible, One God. 

So what do you Believe?  Have you separated yourself from this Pagan World?

The Book of Nehemiah is how the Jewish People rebuilt the broken walls around Jerusalem in 52 days

To be honest the book of Ezra and the book of Nehemiah and are never preached in the church and when a preacher mentions the book, they laugh and tell you where it is at in the Bible.  It might not be important for preachers to preach scripture of some of the Books in the Bible, but God thought is was important to be put in the Bible, so it is important that we read each book in the Bible.  All 66 Books of the Bible.

I am learning a lot by reading the Old Testament.  We can learn by the mistakes that the Israelites made, so we won't make the same mistakes in our lives.

The Jewish people have been through a lot and they are moving back to Israel, which is a good thing and it was written in the Bible, they would go back to Israel. 

So as you read the Books of the Bible that you are not familiar with, read them with an open mind and heart, because there is something there that God wants us to know.

We are living in the last days.  We were chosen to be here this moment in time.  We need to stay alert and focus on the Bible and Jesus, because that is who we trust.  God is first in our lives.

God is first before family, spouse or children
We will not bow before anything or anyone except Jesus
Jesus said  that every knee must bow to the name of Jesus
We will not get The Mark Of The Beast

So the Israelites come back to rebuild the temple of God, and what do they do?  They sin against God once again.  They have ignored the command that was given to the,

Which thou hast commanded by thy servants the prophets, saying, The land unto which ye go to possess it, is an unclean land with the filthiness of the people of the lands, with their abominations, which have filled it from one end to another with their uncleanness.

Separate yourselves from the people of the land and from the strange wives.

God does not want us to live like the rest of the world.  We are to live separate from the Non-Believers.

God does not want us to date or marry Non-Believers. 

God does not want us to mingle, hangout or become friends with Non-Believers because they will only suck us into their lifestyle and before we know it, we are sinning against God.

Think about this.  Who are your friends?  Who are you dating?  Are they doing things that you know are a sin?  Are you being tempted???

Prepare Yourself

These are the last days....Check yourself and see if you are sinning against God???

When you are sinning, God is right there with you.  Think about that.

God created the world, the universe, you and me.  God knows all.  Stop being afraid.  God is waiting to talk to you.

Ezra is not a long book, only 10 Chapters
An entire generation has lived in Babylon and now they are going back to Israel.

One thing I want you to notice is that, in
 Ezra 1:4
Let the men of his place help him with silver and with gold and with goods and with beasts besides the freewill offering for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.

They are going to rebuild the Temple for God. 

There is nothing wrong with giving and helping build a church or a temple for God.

I went to a church where the Pastor said he was going to hold a special offering for the church.  The church needed some things to be fixed.  That is fine.  He was a new pastor, and all of a sudden he wanted the congaerations money.

So I just want you to be aware, if your church does uses this verse, pray before giving.  A few months later that Pastor was gone from that church. 

Not saying don't give to the church, but pray before you give a large amount.

Then as they are trying to rebuild the temple, they run into trouble, since they believe in God, the surrounding towns don't like what they are doing.  They are calling them and their city, A Place of Rebellion.  They won't pay taxes, or duties and royal revenues will suffer.
So they were stopped from building the temple until this problem was settled.

Believers are always under attacked.  Satan is always trying to stop Believers. 

The temple finally gets built.

So whatever God is telling you to do, don't give up, just because you run into obstacles.  That is Satan trying to stop you.  Never give up on what God told you to do.

Now about the collection for God's people
Do what I told the Galatian churches.  On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.  Then when I arrive, I will give letters of introduction  to the men you approved  and send them with your gift to Jerusalem.

People tithed in the Old Testament.  Abraham tithed.  Here in the New Testament,Paul is telling the church to put aside money for missionaries in other cities.  We are suppose to support the church.

When you tithe, you are giving it to God.  So if you give to your church, don't think that you are giving it to the preacher, so he can pay himself or give in anger because your giving must come from the heart.  You are giving your money to God, to God's kingdom.  It is between you and God.

Your life will never change if you do not give with a loving willing heart. 

If it is in the Bible, Believe it & do it or your life will never change

You have heard this before.  It is better to give than to receive.  Why is that?

To be a giver, is to give from the heart and expect nothing in return.
If you do this, this God will send Blessing upon you.

Ever since I have started reading the Bible and living by God's Word, my life has gotten better and better.

I am divorced, and suicidal and had no idea what I was going to do.  I was totally alone and had a house and didn't know what to do.  One night, I was crying like a baby on the living room floor.  I looked up and screamed, "Tell me what you want me to do.  Just tell me and I will do it!"
The next morning I woke up at 4 in the morning and it was crystal clear.  Sell The house.  I went to work, told co-workers I was selling my house, and when the weekend was over, I sold the house. I just signed the house over to a couple and they took over the payments and paid closing costs.  I included all the furniture in the house.  I gave everything else away.  I didn't sell any of my belonging.  I gave everything away that I owned.  Why would I do that?
Why not.  People thought I was crazy.

That is what God told me to do.

What crazy was, when I moved into my new place, People gave me what I needed.  I was given a bed, couch, kitchen table, dresser.  The items were in good condition.  I didn't have to move anything.  I started over with a new place and new items that were new to me.  It was a blessing from the Lord.

I had no idea, that would happen.

If you give to others, you will be blessed.

Try it and see what happens.

As I read the Old Testament, I keep asking the same question:

Why do they keep sinning against God, when they know that things will go from good to bad.

Then they  pray and beg God to save them.  Why don't they just do what God tells them to do?

We haven't changed a bit from generation to generation.  Everyone things they can do things their way and when things go wrong, They blame God.

God didn't do it.  We did it to ourselves.

We all turn from God.

Even as Believers, we have all turned our backs on God, blamed God and taking no responsiblity for any of it.

We need to wake up.

God is Love

God did not make you sick
God did not make you poor

Look at yourself.  What have you been doing?
You have been listening to Satan

If you are not listening to God
You are listening to Satan

Stop blaming God.

Use your faith to believe every word of the Bible
Don't listen to others who do not Believe

I have had co-workers try to start an argument with me over the Bible.  They were trying to get me to  doubt the Word of God.  I did not argue with them or try to explain what I believe because they just wanted to show me that I am wrong.

The Bible is not wrong.  The Bible is the Word of God.

Look what is going on in the world today.  America is burning and the government is doing nothing
What was right is now wrong
What was wrong is now right
Satan is gaining power.
Don't let Satan have power over you

Speaking in Tongues is a gift from God.

It is here, written in the Bible.  Do you know that some churches do not believe in Speaking in Tongues?  If it is in the Bible, it belongs to us.

That is why it is so important to read the Bible.  Every Church takes Scriptures out of context and uses those Scriptures to support what they want you to believe.  Some churches do not believe in Tithing, Speaking in Tongues, Being Baptized.

If you don't don't what to pray, pray in tongues.

If you don't know how to speak in tongues......Pray and Ask The Holy Spirit to fill you and ask The Holy Ghost to give you the gifts to speak in tongues and then just start saying whatever comes out of your mouth.

You are not going to understand what you are saying, but God will.

Man will not understand what you are saying
Satan will not know what you are saying.

If you don't want Satan to know what you are praying,,,,Pray in the Tongues.

It is in the Bible...  Not everyone will agree with you, but God will agree and God is all that matters.

Study more deeply about Praying in Tongues.

Go back to Acts 2 and read it.  They were filled with the Holy Ghost after Jesus was caught up in the clouds to be with God.

Can you sew?  Are you sewing what God wants you to sew?

Think about what you are good at.
Pray on what you should do with your talent
God will tell you what you should be doing.
We are here to serve the Lord thy God.

Day 200!!!!  Can you believe it?  We have been reading for 200 days, and we are past the half way mark.  I don't know about you but I am quite surprised that I have not quit. like I have done in the past.  In the beginning of the year, I felt God told me to read the Bible and blog about what I read each day.  I told God that I would.  I am not going to go back on my word to God.  I am blogging and reading the Bible because that is what God told me to do.  What is God telling you to do????

Stop listening to this world and what the world is saying and doing.  Society is always changing

God is the same as yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Pay attention to what you do.

The Israelites prayed and begged God to free them.  God took them out of Egypt and all they did was complain, create a golden calf and worshipped it.  had sex whenever did not do what God told them to do, but they expected God to do what they asked.

Even today the world has turned their back on God, now they are blaming God for everything.  That is why the world is the way it is.  It is not God's fault.  It is our fault.  We have turned our back on God

Whatever we do, we should do it and give God all The Glory

This is where Tithing comes in at.  We are suppose to give 10% of our income, before we pay our bills or buy something.  So when we go to church every Sunday and hear the Word of God, that is where we are getting our Spiritual Food.  So we give 10% to the church. Without the church where would we hear the Word of God.

Now days you can watch church service on-line... So where ever you are getting your Spiritual Food is where you will be giving your offering.

Pray about this.  Ask God where you should be giving your Tithes and Offerings.

Once you start doing this, you will fall into obeience with God and your life will change

Some people do not believe in Tithing...It is Biblical.  As you are reading the Bible you know in the Old Testament Abraham Tithed and there was not even a Bible at that time and now in the New Testament it is written here.

Stop listening to the World
Start listening to the Word of God

Become a Tither and Giver and watch God move in your life

Church Burnings

Over the weekend, someone ran their van into a church, poured gasoline inside the church, and then set it on fire.  People were in the church, thank thy Lord that no one was hurt.

Where is the outrage???

Where are the Pastors, Ministers and Priests to speak out about the persecution of the church

In the state of California, the government has said that no singing or praising God will be allowed in during the church services.

What is the church doing about it?

Where are the Pastors of the Mega Churches/

The church is silence.

God was taken out of schools
The church was silence
The government closed churches
The church is silence

If these are not the Last days before the Rapture,  What is?

This might not make sense to some people.

I am a vegetarian, almost a vegan. 
I was a cashier and I had this one man who was a man of God.  When he came through my line, he would apologize for buying meat and asked if I wanted him to go to another cashier, knowing that I don't eat meat.
He did not want to offend me and he always quoted the scripture 8:13

I understood what he was saying. 

So if you are going to do something that is right in God's sight, but another Believer might be offended, you shouldn't do it in front of them.

That is what I think this Chapter is talking about.  Everything is not always about you.  You must think of others before you do something.

Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife
and let every woman have her own husband

Having sex outside of marriage is a sin
Living together is a sin.

Most woman dream of their wedding day.  They want that day to be perfect.  The perfect dress, the perfect venue, the perfect food, the perfect music.

That has nothing to do with marriage.  That is a fairy tale.  That is one day.

When you marry, if you are a Believer, is the person a Believer?  If not, the marriage is doomed.

Ask yourself:  Why do I want to marry this person?

I should never of gotten married.  I married, because my options were limited and thought why not.  He is a good man, but he was not a Believer.  The marriage didn't last.

If I knew then what I know now, I would never get married.

As I read the Bible this year, I realize that I should of never been married.

I should of read the Bible, went on mission trips and put God first in my life.  It was not until I was in my 40's when I read the entire Bible.  My eyes were opened and I made so many mistakes and sinned in the past.

I repented and moved in the direction that God has always wanted me to go. 

So my advice to anyone who is thinking about getting married or moving in with someone.
Read the Bible.  Read the Entire Bible before you say I Do.

Pray and make sure the person you are marrying is the one God has picked out for you.

I can not change the past, so now I never remarried and my life is dedicated to God,
I am a writer and I write what God tells me to write.  I no longer listen to man,

Once you have given your life to Jesus, you then belongs to God.  You are to follow Jesus, and live like Jesus. 

Your body is no longer yours to do with what you please.  That is being in the flesh.

Your body is now a Temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you.

Think before you have sex
Think before you kiss
Think before you move in with someone

Your body is no longer yours.
Your Body Belongs to God.
God knows what you have done, what you are doing and what you will do.

Repent and start living the life God was created you to live.

We just finished reading the Book of 1st Chronicles and now on the Book of 2nd Chronicles.

2nd Chronicles is basically following up on 1st Chronicles, of what we already read.  Not sure why they added these books to the Bible, but I am sure God knows, so we must read them.

I like the story of Solomon, because he placed God first
When God asked Solomon what he wanted.
Solomon asked for wisdom, not something like gold or anything materialistic

1:7
God said unto Solomon, Ask what I shall give thee

1:10
Give me wisdom and knowledge.

We can learn from from Solomon.

Yes you can try to help them, but don't let them suck you into their sinful life

We are just like Paul was.  We experience the same thing.  Paul was jailed, beaten, flogged, but he knew who he was serving.  Paul had a calling as we do.

We are to serve the Lord our God.

These are the last days.  We need to stay focused, as we need to spread the Gospel so no one will be left behind when the Rapture comes

That is why we should not get tattoos or piercings God dwells within us.  We need to keep our bodies holy.  That means don't get tattoos or piercings or wear a lot of makeup or flashy jewerly. 
We belong to God, not this world
Stop acting like you are of this world.
Start acting like you are a Child of God

Once you are saved, the Holy Spirit comes and dwells inside of you.  The Holy Spirit comforts us, guides us and gives of wisdom, because we now have the power of God within us.

How Awesome is that?!!!

Starting a new Book of the Bible:  1st Corinthians

In the Book of 1st Corinthians, Paul is writing letters to the Christians in Corinth,
Because Paul got news that the church Paul founded a couple of years ago, is on the verge of a split.  Members are questioning Paul's authority. 

1st Corinthians 1:10
Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgement. 

Is this going on in your church today?
This is why we have so many churches.  Someone gets mad, leaves the church and starts another church.  The church grows, then someone gets mad, leaves the church and starts another church.

What do you think the world would be like if we all have one church and forgot about the pettyness and worshiped God???

There are over 40 churches in the small town I live in, with the population of about 15,000 people.  How does one decide what church to go to? 

They claim they all believe in the same thing.  Jesus was born, Jesus died on the Cross and God raised Jesus on the 3rd day.

All the churches claim to believe the same thing, but every church is seperate and doesn't support other churches.

Paul warns us of this

Paul writes:  That there are contentions among you.

That no flesh should glory in his presence.
But of Him, are Ye In Christ Jesus,
who of God is made unto us
Wisdom and Righteousness, and Sanctification and Redemption:
That according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

THIS IS THE HALF WAY MARK.  WE HAVE BEEN READING THE BIBLE FOR 365 DAYS

 I don't know about you, but I have not ever done this before.  I have always quit somewhere in March and as I am writing this It is now July. 

I hope that you are seeing changes in yourself and in your life, as your read God's Word.  How can you not be changed by God's Word.

The world is changing before our eyes, but God never changes.

God is the same today, yesterday and tomorrow.

Jesus is the Way!!!
