Do you work for a company, self employed or just do odd jobs here and there?
Ever thought of what Jesus wanted you to do?
Ever thought of what you were born to do?
If you are an artist, are you doing what you want to do, or what God wants you to do?
Are you a singer, writer, dancer? Are you using your talent for God or for your own pleasure?
The reason I am asking these questions is that Jesus is your source, not the company you work for. If God Blessed you with a Gift, of writing, or singing, are you using your gift for Jesus or yourself.
God Blessed me with the gift of Writing.
My Bible--My God was the first book that I published. This is my testimony of how I met Jesus and was Saved By The Grace of God.
I was going to be a Christian writer. I then wrote
This was a Romance with Paranormal Elements. It leaned toward a Christian theme Love. Then a writer wrote a review and called me a Paranormal Romance Writer. I liked the sound of that.
I strayed a bit from the Christian Romance. The Satan had me, I then wrote Zombie Zoo
I was now a Zombie Writer. I was all in I created a Zombie Series Me VS Zombies I was selling books, had book signings, putting on my tax refund, writer. I thought I was on my way. I was a Zombie Writer and proud of it.
UNTIL ONE DAY
I heard from God.
God said to me "Okay, you had your fun, now I want you to write for me. Stop writing Zombie Books and get back to writing your Testimony and Christian Fiction.
So I did.
My book sales crashed. I wrote a few non fiction books, I continued to blog. So now I am focused on writing what God created me to write, not what I want to write.
Ephesians 2:10
For we are God's workmen ship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
I do not want to go to Heaven and God ask me why I didn't write for Him."
So this is just something to think about. What are you doing? Are you placing God first? Are you even thinking about God while you are at work? Do you tell others about Jesus or just keep Jesus to yourself?
Jesus said go "Go ye into the word and preach the gospel."
Preaching the gospel is telling your testimony to others, walking in Love.
Don't let Satan distract you, work for Jesus and not for this world.
