Acts 5:40
They called the apostles in and had them flogged. Then they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
Acts 5:41-42
The apostles left the Sanhedrin, rejoicing because they had been counted worthy of suffering disgrace for the name. Day and day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ.
The apostles did not go back to their old life after Jesus died. They continued what Jesus had taught them and told they what to do. Preach the good news. Jesus is Lord.
They were persecuted from day one and nothing stopped them. Because they knew Jesus, knew there was a Heaven and that they would be with Jesus one day.
They had to hide, have secret meetings. They were arrested, flogged, beaten and even stoned. They all died horrible deaths for believing in Jesus.
Peter: Crucified
Paul: Beheaded
Andrew: Crucified
Thomas: Pierced through with spears of four soldiers
Philip: Arrested and cruelly put to death
Matthew: Various accounts of how he met his death as a martyr for the gospel
Bartholomew: Various accounts of how he met his death
James: Stoned and then clubbed to death
Simon: Killed after refusing bow and worship the sun god
Matthais: death by burning (He replaced Judas)
John: died of natural causes and wrote the book of Revelation, while being exiled on an island. During his life, he had been beaten, flogged, arrested, shipwrecked, and even escaped unhurt after being cast into burning oil.
The world will persecute all believers. It has been going on since Jesus. We are living in the last days before the Rapture. We are living in the days of Noah.
Are you willing to stand for Jesus?
Are you willing to persecuted as you preach and believe in Jesus Or will you bow to the world?
The time is now to decide. Christians are being persecuted and dying in the name of Jesus. In the United States of America, we have had it pretty good. We can worship freely. The tides are changing. Some states have passed laws that the Bible is now a hate book. Some states have passed laws to make abortion legal even after the baby is born.
Socialist Party wants to take over the United States of America.
Christians need to wake up! Jesus is coming.
